SBC ha anunciado las cinco personas cuyos logros e influencia les han valido un lugar en la promoción de 2026 del Salón de la Fama.
La ceremonia tendrá lugar el lunes 28 de septiembre de 2026 a las 15:30 en el Hotel Palácio Estoril de Lisboa, en el marco de la SBC Leaders Summit, un evento exclusivo para altos ejecutivos del sector, que se celebrará el día anterior a la inauguración SBC Summit 2026.
El Salón de la Fama de las Apuestas Deportivas (SBC, por sus siglas en inglés), que celebra su décimo aniversario, se inauguró en 2016 como el Salón de la Fama de las Apuestas Deportivas, en una época en la que el sector era muy diferente al que conocemos hoy. Una década después, la ceremonia de este año rinde homenaje a cinco figuras cuyas trayectorias profesionales han contribuido a dar forma a la industria global de las apuestas y los juegos de azar tal como la conocemos hoy.
Entre los nuevos miembros de la promoción de 2026 se encuentran:
- Khalid Ali (Director Ejecutivo de la Asociación Internacional para la Integridad de las Apuestas)
- David Natroshvili (Fundador, Spribe)
- Jason Robins (cofundador y director ejecutivo de DraftKings)
- Karen Marcela Sierra-Hughes (Vicepresidenta para Latinoamérica, el Caribe y España de Gaming Laboratories International)
- Mor Weizer (Director Ejecutivo de Playtech)
Rasmus Sojmark , CEO y fundador de SBC, declaró: «Cuando veo a los cinco homenajeados de este año, lo que me sorprende es la amplitud de conocimientos que abarcan entre ellos. Emprendimiento, tecnología, integridad, regulación, liderazgo operativo. No es frecuente encontrar todo eso reunido en un mismo lugar. Celebrarlos en Lisboa no se trata solo de cinco grandes trayectorias profesionales. Es una oportunidad para reconocer el gran avance de nuestro sector y a las personas que nos han traído hasta aquí».
Los homenajeados de este año se unen a un distinguido grupo de galardonados anteriores, entre los que se incluyen Esmeralda Britton (Presidenta de la Junta de Protección Social de Costa Rica), Chad Millman (Cofundador de The Action Network), Scotty Schettler (Exdirector de Race & Sports de Stardust) y Shelley White (Exdirectora ejecutiva del Responsible Gambling Council), quienes serán incorporados en 2025.
Entre los miembros que han sido incorporados al Salón de la Fama se encuentran algunas de las figuras más reconocidas del sector, como John Anderson (ex director ejecutivo de 888 Holdings PLC), Victor Chandler (fundador de BetVictor), Chris Christie (ex gobernador de Nueva Jersey), Denise Coates (fundadora y directora ejecutiva de Bet365), Fred Done (fundador de Betfred), Carsten Koerl (fundador y director ejecutivo de Sportradar), Pontus Lindwall (director ejecutivo y fundador de Betsson AB) y Norbert Teufelberger (cofundador de Bwin).
La Cumbre de Líderes de SBC reúne a más de 500 ejecutivos de alto nivel en el encuentro más exclusivo del sector. Durante el día, los asistentes participan en sesiones privadas de networking, presentaciones, mesas redondas y debates regionales y regulatorios. Por la noche, el evento se traslada a Estoril, con un cóctel, una cena de gala, un torneo de póker y una fiesta posterior en el Casino Estoril, el histórico lugar que inspiró la novela Casino Royale de Ian Fleming .
Los asistentes también tendrán acceso completo a la Cumbre SBC y a la Cumbre de Líderes Afiliados, que se celebrarán del 29 de septiembre al 1 de octubre en el FIL y el MEO Arena.
SBC Reveals the 2026 SBC Hall of Fame Class
SBC has announced the five individuals whose achievements and influence have earned them a place in the Hall of Fame class of 2026.
The ceremony will be held on Monday, 28 September 2026, at 15:30 at Palácio Estoril Hotel in Lisbon, as part of the SBC Leaders Summit, an invite-only event for key industry C-levels, taking place the day before SBC Summit 2026 opens.
Now marking its tenth year, the SBC Hall of Fame was launched in 2016 as the Sports Betting Hall of Fame, at a time when the industry looked very different from the one it recognises today. A decade on, this year’s induction celebrates five figures whose careers have helped shape the global betting and gaming industry as it now stands.
Inductees in the class of 2026 include:
- Khalid Ali (CEO, International Betting Integrity Association)
- David Natroshvili (Founder, Spribe)
- Jason Robins (Co-Founder and CEO, DraftKings)
- Karen Marcela Sierra-Hughes (Vice President of Latin America, Caribbean & Spain, Gaming Laboratories International)

The SBC Leaders Summit brings together more than 500 C-level executives for the industry’s most exclusive gathering of its kind. By day, attendees take part in closed-door networking, presentations, panel discussions and regional and regulatory roundtables. By evening, the setting shifts to Estoril itself, with a cocktail reception, gala dinner, poker tournament and after-party at Casino Estoril, the historic venue that inspired Ian Fleming’s Casino Royale.
Attendees also receive full access to SBC Summit and the Affiliate Leaders Summit, running from 29 September to 1 October at FIL and MEO Arena.
