WorldGaming ha anunciado el lanzamiento del Salón de la Fama Global de ICE, una nueva iniciativa anual que celebra a las personas cuya visión, logros y liderazgo han ayudado a dar forma a la industria internacional del juego, al tiempo que pone de relieve a la próxima generación de líderes que ya están dejando su huella.
Descrita como un «Salón de la Fama con un toque original», la iniciativa reunirá a leyendas consagradas y talentos emergentes, reconociendo tanto la contribución de quienes han transformado la industria como la de las personas que están ayudando a definir hacia dónde se dirige.
El Salón de la Fama Global de ICE, en su primera edición, se dará a conocer en la Gala WorldGaming el domingo 17 de enero de 2027, creando un prestigioso preámbulo para ICE Barcelona y un nuevo momento anual para la comunidad mundial del juego.
Margaret Dunn, directora de cartera responsable de ICE y de la filial de iGB en Barcelona, declaró: «Estamos encantados de lanzar el Salón de la Fama Global de ICE en colaboración con el sector. Se trata de homenajear a las personas que han realizado una contribución verdaderamente revolucionaria al mundo del juego, al tiempo que reconocemos a los líderes que ya están dando forma a su futuro».
«La industria de los videojuegos es un sector del entretenimiento global increíblemente dinámico e influyente, y queremos homenajear a las personas que han contribuido a su evolución, a quienes han desafiado las convenciones, impulsado la innovación, promovido el progreso y dejado una huella imborrable.»
«Lo que distingue al Salón de la Fama es que no solo miramos hacia atrás, sino también hacia adelante. Queremos reconocer a las leyendas consagradas junto con los líderes emergentes que creemos que desempeñarán un papel importante para llevar a la industria a su siguiente etapa.»
Cada año, cinco figuras destacadas de la industria serán incorporadas al Salón de la Fama en reconocimiento a sus logros profesionales, liderazgo, contribución a la comunidad e impacto duradero en el sector. Junto a los cinco homenajeados, un jurado independiente compuesto por reconocidos líderes de opinión de la comunidad global de videojuegos seleccionará a tres Leyendas Emergentes: personas que, si bien aún no cuentan con décadas de experiencia en la industria, su liderazgo, influencia y logros ya están teniendo un impacto significativo.
La combinación de talento consolidado y emergente refleja el papel único de ICE Barcelona como plataforma global donde convergen las ideas, innovaciones e iniciativas más importantes del sector.
Dunn añadió: «ICE siempre ha ido más allá de lo que sucede hoy. Es el lugar donde se lanzan nuevas ideas, donde se exhibe la innovación y donde la industria se reúne para debatir, cuestionar y dar forma al futuro. Por lo tanto, nos parece muy apropiado que, en vísperas de ICE Barcelona, celebremos a las personas que han contribuido a construir la industria que tenemos hoy, al tiempo que brindamos una plataforma a los líderes que ayudarán a crear la industria del mañana».
El Salón de la Fama Global de ICE se convertirá en una celebración anual de la excelencia, el liderazgo y el impacto, reconociendo a las personas que impulsan la evolución de la industria y proporcionando un nuevo referente para quienes contribuyen a dar forma a su futuro.

New initiative to honour five industry icons and three emerging leaders on the eve of ICE Barcelona ’27
WorldGaming has announced the launch of the ICE Global Hall of Fame, a new annual initiative celebrating the people whose vision, achievements and leadership have helped shape the international gaming industry, while shining a spotlight on the next generation of leaders who are already making their mark.
Described as a «Hall of Fame with a twist», the initiative will bring together established legends and emerging talent, recognising both the contribution of those who have transformed the industry and the individuals who are helping to define where it goes next.
The inaugural ICE Global Hall of Fame will be unveiled at the WorldGaming Gala on Sunday 17 January 2027, creating a prestigious curtain-raiser to ICE Barcelona and a new annual moment for the global gaming community.
Margaret Dunn, Portfolio Director responsible for ICE and iGB Affiliate Barcelona, said: «We are delighted to launch the ICE Global Hall of Fame in partnership with the industry. This is about celebrating the people who have made a truly game-changing contribution to gaming, while also recognising the leaders who are already shaping its future.

«What makes the Hall of Fame different is that we are not only looking back. We are looking forward too. We want to recognise the established legends alongside the emerging leaders who we believe will play an important role in taking the industry to its next chapter.»
Each year, five outstanding industry figures will be inducted into the Hall of Fame based on their career achievements, leadership, community contribution and lasting impact on the sector. Alongside the five inductees, an independent judging panel of respected industry thought leaders from across the global gaming community will select three Emerging Legends — individuals who may not yet have decades of industry experience, but whose leadership, influence and achievements are already making a significant impact.
The combination of established and emerging talent reflects the unique role of ICE Barcelona as a global platform where the industry’s biggest ideas, innovations and initiatives come together.
Dunn added: «ICE has always been about more than what is happening today. It is where new ideas are launched, where innovation is showcased and where the industry comes together to debate, challenge and shape what comes next.
