Esportes da Sorte Holds Match-Fixing Workshop for Corinthians Players and Coaching Staff

Workshop led by Sportradar reinforces commitment to sports integrity and responsible gaming

This Wednesday (9), Corinthians’ main squad will participate in the Match-Fixing Prevention Workshop, an initiative promoted by Esportes da Sorte, the main sponsor of both teams, and led by Sportradar, a global leader in sports technology and a recognized authority in sports integrity.

The event is part of a series of in-person workshops previously held with the squads of Ceará and Náutico. At Corinthians, the training will also be extended to players and coaching staff from the women’s and under-20 teams.

Focusing on preventing illegal practices in sports competitions, the workshop addresses topics such as the definition of match-fixing, types of fraud, fraudsters’ modus operandi, legal risks, and reputational impact. Participants also receive practical guidance on how to respond when approached suspiciously.

“Promoting integrity in sports and responsible gaming is a core pillar of our mission. That’s why we invest in education and stand beside clubs in this collective effort for transparency and the protection of competitions,” says Ana Carolina Luna Maçães, Compliance Manager at Esportes Gaming Brasil, the group behind Esportes da Sorte.

The sessions will be led by Felippe Marchetti, Integrity Partnerships Manager at Sportradar. The company is a partner of CONMEBOL, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), and 17 state federations, monitoring over 10,000 matches per season in Brazil. It recently signed Technical Cooperation Agreements (ACTs) with the Ministries of Finance and Sports, strengthening its strategic role in the fight against sports fraud.

“It’s a great pleasure to host an Integrity Workshop with Corinthians, one of the most prominent football clubs in Brazil. We believe awareness is essential in the fight against match-fixing. Corinthians’ openness to this dialogue — given the club’s strength and massive fan base — is an important step for the entire football ecosystem,” says Felippe Marchetti, Integrity Partnerships Manager at Sportradar.
