La alianza estratégica entre ICE Barcelona e IGE Roma será uno de los ejes centrales, con la participación de altos representantes de World Gaming —antes Clarion Gaming—, quienes aportarán su visión del sector junto con el lanzamiento de un estudio académico financiado por el ICE Research Institute, desarrollado por la School of Management del Politécnico de Milán y el instituto Human Tech, parte de la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia.
Ewa Bakun, directora de Relaciones con la Industria de World Gaming, moderará dos mesas redondas. La primera, titulada Juego Responsable y ESG: hacia un nuevo modelo de gobernanza para el sector, se llevará a cabo a las 12:45 del primer día en el escenario de Innovación y Pagos.
En el segundo día, la atención se trasladará al escenario principal a las 14:45 con la mesa redonda De control a protección inteligente: neurociencia aplicada en la lucha contra el juego patológico, que también incluirá la presentación del proyecto financiado por el ICE Research Institute, desarrollado por el Politécnico de Milán y el instituto Human Tech de la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia.
Como parte de una nueva dimensión en esta relación, IGE, en colaboración con iGB Affiliate, lanzará una nueva línea de contenido denominada Affiliates Connect @ IGE, con el objetivo de alinear el mercado italiano con el ecosistema internacional de afiliados del juego. Este espacio será presentado por el presidente no ejecutivo de World Gaming, Michael Caselli, el segundo día a las 10:25.
De cara a la participación de World Gaming en IGE, Ewa Bakun señaló:

Bajo el título provisional Evaluación de la eficacia de los mensajes de juego responsable: un enfoque neurocientífico y psicofisiológico, el proyecto utiliza la neurociencia, junto con mediciones biométricas y cognitivas, para comprender qué estrategias de comunicación reducen el comportamiento de juego de riesgo y cuáles pueden resultar contraproducentes, generando consecuencias no deseadas.
El ICE Research Institute (IRI), financiado conjuntamente por World Gaming y Fira Barcelona, otorga subvenciones a instituciones científicas y académicas para impulsar investigaciones en prevención y sostenibilidad. Los resultados de este proyecto ofrecerán conclusiones científicamente sólidas para orientar recomendaciones de políticas públicas y elevar los estándares de la industria.”
ICE Research Institute scientific study to be launched at IGE Rome
The strategic partnership between ICE Barcelona and IGE Rome will be centre stage, with senior representatives from World Gaming — formerly Clarion Gaming — contributing their industry insight alongside the launch of the ICE Research Institute-funded academic study undertaken by Milan’s Polytechnic School of Management and the institute Human Tech, part of the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
Ewa Bakun, World Gaming’s Director of Industry Relations, will be moderating two roundtables. Responsible Gaming and ESG: Towards a New Governance Model for the Sector will take place at 12:45 hrs on Day 1 on the Innovation and Payments Stage.
On Day 2, the focus switches to the Main Stage at 14:45 hrs with a roundtable discussion entitled From Control to Intelligent Protection: Applied Neuroscience in the Fight Against Pathological Gambling, which will also feature the launch of the ICE Research Institute-funded project undertaken by Milan’s Polytechnic School of Management and the institute Human Tech, part of the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
In an added dimension to the relationship, IGE, in partnership with iGB Affiliate, is launching a new content stream, Affiliates Connect @ IGE, with the objective of aligning the Italian market with the international gaming affiliates ecosystem. The stream will be introduced by World Gaming Non-Executive Chairman Michael Caselli on Day 2 at 10:25 hrs.
Looking ahead to World Gaming’s participation in IGE, Ewa Bakun said:
“I am delighted that we are moving into the second stage of our strategic partnership with some really important and tangible initiatives, not least the launch of the ICE Research Institute (IRI)-supported project undertaken by Milan’s Polytechnic School of Management and the institute Human Tech, part of the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
With a working title of Assessing the Efficacy of Responsible Gambling Messaging: A Neuroscientific and Psychophysiological Approach, the project uses neuroscience, as well as biometric and cognitive measurements, to understand which communication strategies reduce risky gambling behaviour and which can backfire, resulting in unintended consequences.
The ICE Research Institute (IRI), which is jointly funded by World Gaming and Fira Barcelona, provides grants to scientific and academic institutions to fund research on prevention and sustainability. The results from this latest project provide a set of scientifically robust findings to inform policy recommendations and enhance industry standards.”
