The deal marks ESA’s first foray into the Portuguese market following a certification process that will allow for further deals in the country. Online gaming revenue in Portugal increased by 58% during the fourth quarter of 2020 with online slots accounting for 71% of gameplay. Fifteen operators have licences to offer both online gaming and sports betting in the country.
