Merkur Takes the Next Step in North America at G2E
German gaming giant underlines its strength as a full-service gaming provider in Las Vegas
A year can make a remarkable difference. At Global Gaming Expo (G2E) 2025, Merkur and Gaming Arts took the stage together in Las Vegas for the first time, united by a clear vision of what they could achieve together. Twelve months later, that vision has increasingly become reality. At this year’s G2E, the new alliance demonstrated how their complementary strengths are coming together across products, technology and teams. At the same time, the strong presence of Spintec highlighted the breadth of expertise within the Group and reinforced Merkur’s position as a full-service gaming provider. With a powerful lineup of new gaming content, hardware tailored to the North American market and a diverse entertainment programme, Merkur’s appearance generated strong visitor interest and provided the ideal setting for numerous valuable discussions with customers, partners and industry professionals.
“Last year’s G2E marked a new beginning for Merkur in North America. At the time, much of the focus was on the potential of joining forces with Gaming Arts. Twelve months later, we can see that potential increasingly taking shape in our products, our processes and, above all, in the way our teams work together,” says Dominik Raasch, Member of the Management Board, Merkur Games. “This year’s G2E demonstrated the tremendous potential that exists across our entire group of companies and the response we received confirms that we are moving in the right direction.”
Gaming Arts consequently played a central role in Merkur’s G2E presence this year. On its home turf in Las Vegas, the US-based gaming provider showcased an extensive selection of new releases, demonstrating the creativity and market expertise it brings to the Group. At the forefront was Wild Temple 2, the latest addition to one of the most successful game families. Another standout was Showtime, a title that brings fresh energy to the wheel category with its new entertainment-style experience and proved a crowd favourite at G2E. Further releases including Imperial River Temple, 7’s Fire Blitz and Mysteries of Atlantis rounded out the line-up, providing visitors with a broad insight into the latest content developments from Gaming Arts.
Another key attraction was Paw Link. Following its debut at ICE 2026, the Linked Progressive arrived in Las Vegas with two new additions to the Paw Link family: Wish Paw and Voodoo Paw. Featuring distinctive fresh characters, both titles retain the engaging game mechanics at the heart of the concept, combining familiar base-game play with dynamic Hold and Spin elements, perceived persistence and expanding reel formats. Dimension Link, another addition to Merkur’s jackpot portfolio, complemented the presentation alongside further innovations including Whirl Wins, Lion’s Amulet and the Prime Line multigame package.
The new Mod Ex C49 provided a particularly tangible example of how the collaboration between Merkur and Gaming Arts is translating into products designed specifically for the North American market. Combining Merkur’s longstanding hardware expertise with the content and market knowledge of Gaming Arts, the upright cabinet gives the proven modular Mod Ex concept a fresh appearance. Its striking 49-inch C-Curved display provided an impressive stage for the latest gaming content in Las Vegas. Alongside the established Mod Ex 332 and Mod Ex J55, the C49 marked another important addition to the growing Mod Ex family.
The combined power on display extended beyond Merkur and Gaming Arts and was equally evident in the Electronic Table Gaming segment, where Spintec made a strong contribution to the Group’s G2E presence. The Slovenian specialist showcased an extensive range of ETG innovations, led by the new Charisma Craps solution and an enhanced Baccarat offering with an expanded selection of side bets. The Charisma Stand Alone multigame machine, combining six virtual games in a compact footprint, further demonstrated the breadth and versatility of Spintec’s portfolio. Cash-handling specialist GeWeTe complemented the Group’s presentation with its machine-compatible solutions for checking, dispensing and recycling banknotes and coins.
But G2E was about more than products. Alongside its broad range of gaming and technology solutions, Merkur presented a varied programme designed to turn booth visits into memorable moments and create additional opportunities for interaction. An immersive Goonies experience brought additional colour to the exhibition space, while the Spintec tournament added a further interactive element. Completing the programme in true Las Vegas style were singers performing as Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley, bringing two of the city’s most iconic entertainment figures to the Merkur booth and adding an unmistakable touch of glamour to the show.
“G2E 2026 has shown how far we have come over the past twelve months and, at the same time, how many opportunities still lie ahead,” concludes Marcel Heutmekers, Senior Vice President Merkur Games International. “There is an incredible amount of talent, experience and commitment across Merkur, combined with a clear ambition to keep moving forward. We are seeing our organisations work more closely together, and the results of that collaboration are becoming increasingly visible across our portfolio. G2E has once again shown what is possible when we bring our different strengths together, and we are only at the beginning of what we can achieve.”
