Codere appoints Gonzaga Higuero as CEO to lead the new phase of the group
The executive has extensive experience in companies such as Carrefour, Prosegur, and Health Transportation Group.
Codere has announced the appointment of Gonzaga Higuero as the new CEO of the group to lead the new stage of the private gaming multinational. Since 2018, Higuero has held the position of CEO at Health Transportation Group, leading the refinancing process, turnaround, and acquisition of the company by a new shareholder in 2021, as well as the group’s growth plan over the past two years.
With a remarkable previous career at Prosegur, the executive held various management positions during his fifteen years in the group, including General Manager for South America, General Manager for EMEA and the Pacific at Prosegur Cash, and General Manager for Europe. Previously, he also held several roles in the Carrefour Group.
The executive joins the Codere Group team, bringing his knowledge and experience «to further consolidate the company’s leadership position in all markets and drive the group’s growth through the development of new businesses and the online project.»
