La empresa conoció la historia del boxeador peruano que no logró una medalla en Lima 2019 y, como premio a su esfuerzo, firmó un patrocinio por cuatro años.

Miguel Germán es un boxeador peruano que tras caer frente a su contrincante de Antigua Barbuda, Conrad Ryan, en la categoría welter ligero de 64 kg, perdió toda posibilidad de ganar una medalla en los Panamericanos de Lima 2019.

“Vamos a seguir peleando. Si ganaba, cogía una medalla y un departamento en Villa El Salvador. Ese era para mi mamá que todavía no tiene una casita. Mami te quiero mucho, hoy no se pudo pero mañana se podrá”, expresó el atleta conmovido, tras no cumplir el sueño de regalarle una vivienda a su mamá.

La historia dio un giro cuando Apuesta Total inició una campaña por redes sociales para que Miguel Germán pueda recibir ese departamento que tanto anhelaba para su mamá.

“Pude ver la transmisión en directo e identificar dos mensajes: el amor de la familia, ya que este chico no peleaba para él sino por su mamá, y la frase ‘hoy no se pudo pero mañana se podrá’. Es un lema que debe aplicar para todos, pero en especial en los jóvenes deportistas”, comentó Gonzalo Pérez, CEO de Apuesta Total.

De esta manera, la compañía firmó un contrato de patrocinio por cuatro años con el deportista y le entregó la suma de 55,000 dólares para que adquiera el departamento. Para ello, Miguel Germán se comprometió a continuar creciendo profesionalmente y seguir sus estudios de Ciencias del Deporte.

“El Estado está haciendo su mejor esfuerzo, pero no es suficiente. Es ahí donde la empresa privada tiene que salir a apoyar al deportista peruano”, finalizó Gonzalo Pérez.
