NOVOVISION™, el visionario sistema de gestión de casinos de NOVOMATIC fue seleccionado en una licitación internacional para la nueva base tecnológica de la lotería más antigua de Islandia, la Lotería de la Universidad de Islandia. Durante el proyecto, la instalación se preparó e implementó cuidadosamente en estrecha colaboración entre todos los equipos técnicos, y se completó en todas las sedes a principios de diciembre. La Lotería de la Universidad de Islandia (UIL, por sus siglas en inglés) se fundó en 1933 con el fin de financiar los edificios universitarios, así como la adquisición de equipos de investigación y otros suministros. Tiene licencia para operar tres tipos de loterías en el mercado islandés: la lotería tradicional de clase, establecida tras su fundación, tarjetas de rascar instantáneas y unas 500 terminales de juego que actualmente operan en 19 establecimientos de toda Islandia. Los juegos de lotería son muy populares en Islandia y, por lo general, se utilizan para recaudar fondos para fines comunitarios.
Como actor responsable en el mercado islandés del juego, UIL ha implementado una nueva plataforma para terminales de juego con el objetivo de mejorar la eficiencia operativa y garantizar un enfoque responsable del juego. En una licitación pública, NOVOMATIC fue seleccionado como proveedor del nuevo CMS: NOVOVISION™ es la solución de gestión seleccionada, que en la primera fase incluye diversas funcionalidades, como contabilidad de tragamonedas, TiTo, AML, Business Intelligence y la aplicación NV Smart Staff, además de proporcionar la infraestructura informática necesaria para todos los locales de UIL. Se añadirán más funciones del sistema en una fase posterior.
La implementación del sistema en las 19 sedes se realizó de forma oportuna durante las operaciones en curso y con mínimas interrupciones para los jugadores. Además de las numerosas nuevas funcionalidades para el operador, el alto nivel de integración del sistema permite a los clientes de la UIL canjear sus entradas en línea a través de la aplicación para jugadores de la UIL, directamente a sus cuentas bancarias.

Tender winner NOVOVISION™ implemented at the University of Iceland Lottery, UIL
NOVOMATIC’s visionary casino management system was selected in an international tender process for the new technological basis of Iceland’s oldest lottery, the University of Iceland Lottery. In the course of the project, the installation was carefully prepared and implemented in close cooperation between all technical teams, with completion across all venues at the beginning of December. ICE in Barcelona now provided the ideal setting for the final and official signing of the mutual long-term agreement.
The University of Iceland Lottery UIL (Happdrætti Háskóla Íslands) was established in 1933 for the purpose of funding the university buildings as well as the purchase of research equipment and other supplies. It is licensed to operate three types of lotteries in the Icelandic market: the traditional class lottery that was established upon its foundation, instant scratch cards, and some 500 gaming terminals which are currently operated in 19 venues across Iceland. Lottery games are very popular in Iceland and generally used as a means of raising money for community purposes.
As a responsible player in the Icelandic gaming market, UIL has implemented a new platform for gaming terminals in an aim to improve operational efficiency while ensuring a responsible approach to gaming. In a public tender, NOVOMATIC was chosen as the provider of the new CMS: NOVOVISION™ is the selected management solution, comprising in phase one a variety of functionalites including slots accounting, TiTo, AML, Business Intelligence and the NV smart Staff App in addition to providing the required IT infrastructure for all UIL venues. More system functionality is to be added at a later stage.
The system roll-out across all 19 venues was achieved in a timely manner during ongoing operations and with minimum disruption to the players. Apart from the manifold new functionalities on the operator side, the high level of system integration allows UIL customers to now redeem their tickets online via the UIL Players’ App directly to their bank accounts.
